Stepan Zemtsov, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Head of the Research Department of Development Economics at the Institute of Applied Economic Research of the Presidential Academy, has prepared a review on the book by Mehran Gul “The New Geography of Innovation: global fight for disruptive technologies”, issued by the Gaidar Institute Publishing House.

On October 2–3, 2025, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University hosted the All-Russia Scientific and Practical Conference “Formation and Development of Endowment Funds in Educational and Scientific Organizations: Theory and Practice.” Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department at the Gaidar Institute and Deputy Director of the Endowment Fund for the Development of Social and Economic Sciences and Education, took part in the conference.

Within the scope of the "World Atomic Week" international forum, held at VDNKh in Moscow on September 25-28, 2025, round table discussion "Industrial Robotization: A Smart Machine to Help Humans, or will Cyborgs Replace Humans?" was held. The discussion was moderated by Alexei Vedev, Leading Researcher at the Gaidar Institute, Director of the Center for Macroeconomic Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

On September 17, 2025, Andrey Zubarev, Senior Researcher at the Gaidar Institute Department for Digital Finance, took part in the Conference “Digital currencies and smart contracts are the keys for digitalization of the Russia’s financial system” held at venue of the Faculty of Economics of the Lomonosov University under “Financial September” festival-2025.” The event was organized by network of partners “GlavConsultAudit” together with the Center for market research and the MSU Department of Finance.

In September 2025, Moscow Digital School hosted the recording of a lecture “Jurisdictional Aspects of E-Commerce,” which addressed issues of legal regulation of online commerce, including international law and the specifics of determining jurisdiction for cross-border transactions.

The event was attended by experts from Gaidar Institute and Economic Policy Foundation's laboratory for the analysis of best international practices, who presented reports on key areas of digital trade regulation:

Researchers of the Gaidar Institute’s International Best Practices Analysis Department prepared the next issue of the Monitoring of Legal Regulation of the Digital Economy №8(20), August 2025 where they talked about new trends in the development of regulation of the digital economy in the world.

On September 11, as part of the Moscow Book Week festival, a discussion of Chinese economist Lan Xiaohuang's book The Visible Hand: The State and Economic Development in China took place at the library of the Gaidar Institute and the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences (MSSES).

From September 6 to 14, the capital will host a large-scale festival—Moscow Book Week. This is a distributed event that brings together leading publishers, bookstores, and urban cultural initiatives. The festival program includes meetings dedicated to independent Russian publishers, and the book week will conclude with a large fair.

On September 1, the 4^th issue of Economic Policy was available for readers. Economic Policy is a bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal established by the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. in 2006.

On September 11 at 6 p.m., the Gaidar Institute Library and the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences (MHSES) will host a discussion of Lan Xiaohuang's book “The Visible Hand: The State and Economic Development in China”

In the spring of 2025, the Center for Evidence-Based Expertise at the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy conducted a study of the paid household services market in Russia. Experts from the Center for Evidence-Based Expertise studied the characteristics of this rapidly growing segment, assessed the behavior of customers and service providers, and identified various models of digital intermediation in the services market. They analyzed the applicability of the Platform Economy Law adopted in the summer to various formats of digital intermediation in the services market, compared regulatory approaches in Russia and abroad, and considered possible regulatory scenarios laid out in the adopted law.
