On October 6, Library on Gazetny hosted a public lecture "Understanding China through comparison: rich and poor regions and their migrants". Tatiana Ivakhnenko and Deni Sugaipov, Researchers of the Mathematical Modelling of Economic Processes Department at the Gaidar Institute, spoke at the event. Lectures showed significant spatial differentiation of the China’s regions and considered the role of internal migration in the economic development of the country.

On October 2, Maxim Kotelnikov’s lecture “Sociology of Reading: Texts and Masculinity” took place at Library on Gazetny as part of the "Moscow Book Week" festival. The event drew an audience interested in a fresh perspective on familiar cultural practices.

On September 29, Library on Gazetny hosted a presentation and discussion of the book by one of the most influential American intellectuals of the second half of the 20^th century, Lionel Trilling (1905-1975). The book was recently published by Gaidar Institute Press.

Yesterday, September 28, Library on Gazetny held a lecture "Basics of neural networks." Vladimir Kosarev, Researcher of the Industrial Organization and Infrastructure Economics Department at the Gaidar Institute, told the audience about how neural networks evolved: from the simplest mathematical models to modern large language models.

On September 26, Library on Gazetny hosted a presentation and discussion of the book by Brazilian science journalist Carlos Orsi, «What Science Says About Astrology», which was recently published by the Gaidar Institute Publishing House. The event took place as part of the «Moscow Book Week» festival.

On September 9, 2026, the International Technology Congress hosted a roundtable discussion on "Human-Centered AI: How to create an ethical and safe tool for the humanitarian sector?" organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross. The roundtable discussion focused on ethics and safety of using artificial intelligence in humanitarian settings.
